Annotation
The elective subject is aimed at deepening of the current knowledge concerning the area of neurosciences and a newly arising biomedical discipline of regenerative medicine. These are characterized as multidisciplinary and fast developing scientific fields whose interests define the need for collaboration of top institutions studying tissue engineering, cell and gene therapy etc. The topics of this elective subject were therefore chosen to connect biology and physiology of nerve cells and brain along with pathophysiology and neurophathology of the processes associated with the regeneration of nervous tissue. The main objective of this elective subject is to present and explain current knowledge and experiences of the leading experts in the aforementioned sciences to students of Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove.
Also, presentation of the relevant, objective and up-to-date information to students, thereby developing their scientific focus as well as possibly their other points of interest in these areas of medicine represents another goal of this elective.
