Syllabus
Syllabus:
Simple distillation, fractional distillation, distillation under reduced pressure, distillation under inert gas, rotary vacuum evaporator: principles and carrying out.
Chromatography: principles & techniques, column chromatography – separation of four-component mixture, thin layer chromatography – separation of mixtures, methods of detection.
Monitoring and comparison of conversion rate of reaction carried out: at room temperature, under reflux, in microwave reactor. Identification of product. Reactions carried out under inert gas
Spectroscopy and structure elucidation

Optional subject for 2nd year students. Practical classes succeeding to Chemical Laboratory Technique, which extend its basic laboratory technique to a more complex level.
