The aim of subject is to focus more deeply on knowledge and skills in rational use of medicines in nosologic units not discussed in Clinical Pharmacy 1 and basic knowledge regarding basic concept and principles of risk minimization management of pharmacotherapy. Subject is preparing for subject Clinical pharmacy care and for state exam for student with internal specialization for clinical pharmacy.
Subject contents lectures and interactive lectures focusing on 1/ knowledge about disease management non discussed in Clinical pharmacy 1 (ethiopatogenesy, risk factors of disease, complication and risk factors of complication; relevant diagnostic method for rational choice of medicines and of a control of their effect and effectiveness, definition of relevant aims of treatment and basic strategies of acute and chronic form of disease respectively). 2/basic principles of risk minimization of pharmacotherapy (adverse drug reaction, drug-drug interactions, contraindications, medication errors). We will focus on different algorithms – mainly algorithm SAFE (signals or indicators of population and individual risk of pharmacotherapy, the analyzes of clinical significance; methods of prevention and treatment of risk). 3/ medication review in all disease lectured in Clinical pharmacy 1 and 2.
