Theoretical part: properties of matter, separation, izolation of compounds
NMR, IR, MS, HR-MS, CHN analysis, polarimetry
X-ray crystallography
EMS, circular dichroism identification of chiral compounds
Practical part: interpretation of 1D NMR spectra interpretation of IR and MS spectra interpretation of other data (chiral compounds, dr, de, er, ee, etc.) identification of unknown compounds characterization of coumpounds
The subject is both theoretical (deepening of knowledge of spectral methods, especially NMR, then MS, IR and other methods used in many areas of chemical research), and practical (evaluation of NMR, IR, MS, ... data with an emphasis on identification of unknown compounds, correct interpretation and recording of characterization according to scientific standards). Students completing this subject will be prepared for the following scientific activity (diploma thesis, postgraduate studies, ...) and future career (pharmaceutical industry).
