? Introduction to the subject Advanced separation methods ? Modernization of instrumentation in the field of separation methods ? Recent trends in the development of liquid chromatography ? New types of stationary phases (monolithic stationary phases and their application, particle stationary phases, etc.) ? Combination of new types of columns and liquid chromatography with Mass spectrometry detection (HPLC-MS) ? Sequential injection chromatography ? Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography - UPLC ? Troubleshooting in HPLC ? Current trends in electrophoretic methods, miniaturization, electrophoresis on chip, etc. ? Non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis and its application ? Selected applications of capillary electrophoresis ? separation of peptides and proteins, chiral separations ? On-line ?stacking? techniques in capillary electrophoresis
The aim of the subject is to deepen the knowledge and extend theoretical and selected experimental knowledge in the area of separation analytical methods, especially from the chromatographic and electrophoretic methods, which have an important role in the specialized experimental procedures of the clinical, biochemical, toxicological or other laboratories for the analysis of biological samples. Students will be acquainted with new trends and progresses in these separation methods.
Practical classes are realized partly as seminars, partly as practical training in the small 4-5 members groups of students.
