Annotation

Pharmacognosy studies active ingredients (medicinal substances) and excipients (auxiliary substances) of natural origin intended for human and veterinary use. It deals with all aspects of natural drugs – origin, production, processing, constituents, standardization and quality control, biological activities and use in therapy, adverse effects, and interactions with other substances.
