Annotation
The aim of this course will be to acquaint the students with brief outline of the development of media studies in Czech context and on the international background. In three thematic units, the lectures will cover (a) the development of Czech media studies from the beginning till 1948, (b) from 1948 till nowadays, and (c) the development of media studies in anglophone and germanophone contexts.
