The key theoretical texts and methodologies.
The course familiarises students with developmental tendencies of the photographic medium since beginning till these days. It concentrates on photographic styles and photographers who have significantly influenced the development of photography, discuss problems associated with the advent of digital technology and their influence on the development of photography. Basic theoretical concepts are described.
Active participation of students in classes is expected. Students are recommended literature and monographs, including visits to photographic exhibitions.
