INFORMATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2024/2025
Enrolment for English for IMS I is conditioned by passing the PLACEMENT TEST, which will be held on Monday 23 September 2024 in Jinonice, room no. B217.
You must register for the test in SIS in the course Vstupní test z angličtiny pro IMS / Placement test from English for IMS (JLB107). Capacity is limited. Enrolment for the placement test via SIS opens on 2 September at 10 a.m., closes on 22 September at 8 p.m. Students will then find all necessary information in the Files.
ENROLLMENT FOR THE COURSE OF ENGLISH FOR IMS I (JLB007) WILL OPEN TO THE ADMITTED STUDENTS on Wednesday September 25, 2024 at 6pm.
ANY STUDENTS REGISTERING PRIOR TO THIS DAY WILL BE UNSIGNED BY THE SYSTEM FROM THE SUBJECT.
The list of students admitted to the course will be posted in the Files of the course Placement Test JLB107 no later than Tuesday, September 24 at 8pm.The point threshold for admission to the course is variable and therefore depends on how students perform on the test that year. Students are admitted in order of the highest score reached on the placement test until all parallel courses are filled up to their full capacity.

WAIVER APPLICATIONS: Students who have an overall English language level of C1, as evidenced by a language certificate (or IELTS score of 7 or above), may apply for a waiver of the placement test. A copy of the certificate must be emailed to no later than 16 September 2024. Students who have passed the International Baccalaureate with good results and who send a copy of their official results to the above email address by the same date may also apply for a waiver.
STUDENTS who did not pass the placement test may sign up for the course of English for Social Sciences I, taught by Mgr. Michaela Gloverová. Capacity is limited.
NOTE 1: If you have not taken the JLB107 placement test, you cannot enrol for Mgr. Michaela Gloverová's course.
NOTE 2: Students who have previously enrolled for English for IMS I (JLB007) and have not completed the course cannot enrol for the lower-level course of English for Social Sciences taught by Mgr. Michaela Gloverová.
INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
