Annotation

The course will introduce students to the historical geography and socio-economic geography of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The first part will deal with changes of respective territory from 1789 to the 1990s.

The second part of the course will focus on the three countries from the socio-economic perspective. Reliable orientation on various maps of German speaking countries is necessary.
