4) Current challenges in French colonial past interpretations

5) French immigration policy from 70´s (20th century) to present times

6) French immigration policy from 70´s (20th century) to present times

7) French society transformations ? urbanization development, unemployment

8) Islam nad French society

9) French public opinion developmment in relation to immigration questions

10) Political and medial reality and immigration questions

11) Empiric reality and immigration questions

Annotation

The course is aimed at students of MA programme of West European Studies. It introduces to the studies of immigration questions in France and to the colonial past of France.

This subject will present two basic questions of French public sphere. The course will provide with a deeper view of immigration and colonial past in France and will show current opinions which connect these both questions.

Within such approach there will be focused on the difference of empiric reality and its political and medial image.
