1.Theoretical and methodological approach of political geography and its importance for modern political science; map and political map as main source of information.

2. State - basic level of terriotrial analysis within political science.

3. Differernt levels of teritorial analysis: state vs region, global vs local, center vs periphery.

4. Political geography of election.

5. Political geography of the sea.

6. Demography and economical geography.

7. Political geography and process of European political and economical integration.

8. PG of Western Europe.

9. PG of Eastern Europe.

10. PG of USA and Canada.

11. PG of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

12. PG of India.

13. Test.

Annotation

The aim of this course is twofold: introduce basic attributes of theory and methodology of political geography which will be afterwards demonstrated practically on selected countries and topics.
