Annotation
The course follows the development of political science from the beginning of the 20th century to the present with an emphasis on the development of Czech political science. Thematically it is based on the theoretical concept of the political system of D.
Easton. Following the general theory of systems and its use in political science, the course also focuses on the issue of representation of interests in democracy, various approaches to the definition and content of democracy, as well as different approaches to the theory of democracy (issues of pluralism, neocorporativism, consocialism).
Emphasis is placed on the interpretative possibilities of individual theoretical concepts and their application in specific case studies.
