Annotation

The course is devoted to the political systems of selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. The lectures will cover the issues of transition to democracy in these countries, constitutional development and the position of individual constitutional institutions and elements of political systems.

Attention will also be paid to the comparison of individual elements of political systems within two regions: Visegrad and the Baltic region. The seminars are thematically focused on socio-economic transformations and their influence on national political systems.
