Annotation

The course introduces key aspects of Chinese foreign and security policy. The main focus is on the current structure, actors and happenings, but key historical links are examined as well.

The course loosely builds upon foreign policy analysis as a sub-field of International Relations. In the course, China is introduced as a country having complex and often conflicting motivations and relationships with the international order (international system).
