The seminar in political theory that spans over the entire academic year (with a grade being awarded at the end of the summer semester) is designed exclusively for doctoral students in political science whose doctoral research can benefit from detailed exploration of the current scholarly debate in political philosophy/political theory.

While the first term focuses on debates about egalitarian liberalism, the second term is concerned with issues pertaining to the so-called crisis of democracy. The choice of particular topics (and the relevant readings) to be discussed during seminar meetings is largely determined by considering the subject matter of the doctoral projects of the students who will participate in the seminar.
