Anotace

Kurz se zabývá fenoménem regionalismu v jeho historické a teoretické perspektivě s důrazem na roli regionalismu ve světové politice. Kurz začíná konceptualizací regionu, regionalismu, regionalizace, globalizace, vysvětluje historické období, vlny ekonomické i politické integrace, teoretickými vysvětleními hybných sil regionální integrace.

Další regionální uskupení jsou analyzována prostřednictvím integračních uskupení ve světě. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována specifickým aspektů vnitrostátní, inter-státní, and transnacionální obdobě region.

Druhá část se věnuje regionalismu na jednotlivých kontinentech.
