The course is designed as the first introduction into relations among the policy process, political parties, and the welfare state. Based on the reading and critical analysis of essential contributions to this field of study, it is focused on the role of political parties in policy-making related to the welfare state.

Students are led in interactive way to link theoretical findings with contemporary practice.
