Anotace
Cílem kurzu je sledovat a analyzovat události v domácí a zahraniční politice USA v reálném čase. Při pohledu na důležité otázky, které utvářejí veřejnou diskusi v USA, bude kurz poskytovat pohled na otázky, které jsou zásadní pro pochopení současné americké politiky.
Monitorování dynamiky současné politiky vyžaduje důkladné čtení zdrojů informací v reálném čase, jako jsou on-line časopisy, noviny a / nebo projevy politiků. Abychom použili výraz Timothy Gartona Ashe, kurs poskytne studentům obraz o „historii současnosti“ Spojených států při použití analytických nástrojů, jako jsou analýzy diskurzu a případové studie.
