Annotation
Besides two minor poetry books (Song of Songs and Lamentations) the attention is focused on Psalms - the principal prayer book of Israel as well as of the Church. The explanation includes the introduction to their typical stylistical characteristics, literary genres and symbolics.
Then the gneral wisdom literature questions are examined as documented by five different and still complementary wisdom books of the Old Testament (Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes, Ecclesiasticus and Wisdom). To their short description in historical, literary and theological lines a short analysis of selected texts is added.
The course is in Czech but there is a possibility for foreign students to consult the teacher about the topics and to write a paper in order to get the attestation. This can be done in English or Italian.
