Seminar with alternating topics of (1) Sanctuaries and Holy Places in the Old Testament and in the history of Ancient Near East, and (2) Old Testament Rituals and Religious celebrations. Both topics are based on reading relevant Old Testament passages, comparative study in Ancient Near Eastern sources: texts, religious architecture, and religious iconography.
