Annotation
In the summer semester, the themes of the seminar will be topics related to the phenomenon of war. Works depicting the actual warfare or accompanying circumstances will be presented and discussed; ie heroism, suffering, victory, defeat, enthusiasm, trauma, power relations, individual and collective guilt etc.
It will be highly desirable to compare and link modern works with the most classical works of the antiquity and the Middle Ages. The presented interpretations of works of modern literature can thus go beyond the set time horizon and address the timelessness of the presented phenomena.
