A very good knowledge of the Czech language (including knowledge of its historical development) is a necessary condition.
Annotation
A series of lectures are dedicated to prepare students to study an old literature. It opens basic problem areas which will be followed in subsequent semesters by lectures of Medieval and a humanist and Baroque literature.
The main attention is paid to the differences of the spiritual world of man of the Middle Ages and the early modern period, compared to nowaday´s intellectual world.
