Annotation

The aim of the seminar is to acquaint students with the methodology of historical work, both at the theoretical and practical level. In essence, the proseminar directly follows the course “Introduction to the study of history”, which develops in a practical direction.

As part of the proseminar, basic historical approaches, work with historical sources and secondary literature, and the specifics of work with sources and texts published on the Internet will be presented in practice. Students will learn basic genres of historical literature and in practice they will try elementary technical skills in formulating simple historical texts.

Another aim of the proseminar will be familiarization with the operation and organization of historical work in specialized institutions, such as archives and historical museums.
