- Přehledové přednášky k dějinám překladu bible do starých jazyků (od Septuaginty, latinských, kptských aj. překladů až po překlad do staroslověnštiny).- Přednášky podrobně představující dějiny biblického překladu v českých zemích (staročeské biblické překlady, bible 16. a 17. stol., biblická tlumočení v 18. a 19. stol., moderní český biblický překlad od poč. 20. stol., nejnovější překladatelské počiny).- Exkurze do Ústavu pro jazyk český AV ČR: fotokopie rukopisů středověkých biblí, staré tisky 16. a 17. stol.
Annotation
A series of lectures presenting the history of biblical translation in our country from the beginning (Old Czech translations) to the present (Bible 21, Czech study translation, Czech Jerusalem Bible).
In the opening lectures, the history of bible translation into ancient languages (translations into Latin, Coptic... Old Church Slavonic) will be presented.
Part of the teaching will also be an excursion to the Institute for the Czech language AS CR with the possibility to see photocopies of the oldest Czech biblical manuscripts and some of the important old biblical prints "in natura" (e.g. Venetian Bible, Melantrich Bibles, Kralice Bible, St. Wenceslas Bible, etc.).
