Annotation

Students evolving their knowledge of the Trinitarian theology and the Christology are going to be introduced into the doctrine of the Church and the sacraments. The lectures focus on the mystery, life and mission of the church. First we examine biblical sources and Christian tradition. Then a theological synthesis of definition and personality of the church is offered and an interpretation of the four marks of the church is presented, that is unity, holiness, catholicity and apostolicity.

Before analyzing particular sacraments celebrated by the community of the church, participants are going to discover meaning and development of the term sacrament itself. The introduction is built on the idea of sacramentality of the world. The world created by God is a sign of his goodness and power. The sacramentality of the world corresponds with the sacramentality of Christ and the church and establishes the understanding of the historical development and definition of the seven sacraments.
