The course deals with issues of applied theological ethics with focus on bioethical issues. In the course, the fundamentals, principles, and criteria of theological bioethics will be presented.
The course reflects ethically relevant issues regarding approach to life in general (e.g. suicide, the death penalty). Further, ethical questions at the beginning of human life, during human life, and at the end of human life will be presented and discussed.
Attention will also be paid to an ethically responsible relationship to the environment and to issues of animal ethics.
