Methods of studying bryophytes (classical, experimental), biosystematics. Detailed anatomy and morphology of liverworts, hornworts and mosses.
Ultrastructure, ecological adaptations, ontogeny, evolutionary biology, cytology, cytogenetics, chemotaxonomy and other branches of the study of bryophytes. Phytogeography of bryophytes - ranges, distribution, etc.
Cultivation of bryophytes. Applied bryology - importance of bryophytes, historical and contemporary systems - principles, overview.
Systematic overview taxonomy - classes, orders and selected families of individual groups of liverworts, bryophytes and mosses - characteristics, occurrence, distribution and main representatives with regard to the European flora.
