Lecture for advanced students. The actual content of the lecture can be found on the course website! After the general introduction to the forms of energy in living systems and their mutual transformations, the lecture brings detailed information on basic processes of plant energy metabolism; photosynthesis (primary photosynthesis processes, carbon fixation, photorespiration, C4 and CAM metabolism and physiology, photoinhibition and protective mechanisms, regulation of stomata), respiration and oxidative pentose phosphate pathway.
One lecture is devoted to biotechnology related to plant energy metabolism.
