Syllabus
The course is divided into two parts: selected topic lectures (1st - 8th week; for examples of topic see anotation) and students work on esseys (9th - 12 th week).
Annotation
Course " Progress in virology" is focused on interesting findings in the field of virology published in scientific journals. During the first lecture, the plan of topics will be presented to students.
After discussion, the plan can be modified according to interest of the participants. The course is interactive; students comments and questions during lessons are welcomed.
Examples of suggested topics: Viruses and small RNAs; Virus infections and superinfections; Covid updates; Interactions of viruses with cell cytoskeleton; News in HIV therapy, Virus trafficking in host cells; Newly discovered giant viruses etc.
