Lectures will be held every Monday at 12:20, duration 90 min in Parasitology lecture room (first basement, Viničná 7). In the case of unexpected changes, teacher absence or necessary online lecture, students will be informed via e-mail.

Annotation

This subject is meant for Erasmus students.

The introductory course "Parasitology" provides a brief overview of parasitic protists, helminths and arthropods, highlighting their phylogenetic relationships, life cycles/transmission modes and survival strategies. The most important human and animal parasites (mentioning also their pathogenicity, course of the illness, epidemiology, etc.) are presented.
