There's no fixed sylabus for this course. It may contain e.g.: plant systematics, mycology, algology, plant population biology, vegetation science, lichenology etc.
Aim of the course is to familiarise students with newest advances in botany and ecology of plants, protists and fungi. The lecture will usually consist of short presentation followed by discussions of papers from leading journals in the field.
We want the students to be interested in new findings, advances and methods of botany. The discussion with the pedagogue will help the attendants to incorporate the knowledge into a wider framework.
Each lesson will be taught by a specialist in his/her field.
