Annotation

Practical course (3 days) is designed to teach students essential principles of aseptic work and basic techniques used in microbiology labs. Students will carry out media inoculations, staining and microscopy of microorganisms, sweep tests, antibiotic sensitivity, determination of growth curve, separation of bacterial mixture, metabolic identification, transformation of bacteria, and preparation of fermented milk products.

The knowledge gained in the basic Biochemistry course is recommended and expected.
