• ACD Labs ChemSketch - basics, mode draw and structure, 3D Viewer, advanced features, OLE and import from databases • Vizualization of molecules - orbitals, small molecules and biomolecules, Discovery Studio Visualizer • Chemical databases - small molecules and drugs, biomolecules, protein data bank, VSEPR • Presentation and educational technology - dataprojectors, interactive whiteboard, vizualizer, stereoscopy - principles, important parameters, utilization in chemical education • Literature and citation manager - citation manager Zotero • Google Apps • Smart devices in chemistry education

Annotation

Teaching is focused on working with modern information technology, on the use of computers and the Internet in the work of chemistry teachers. The lectures and practical exercises are intended for students of the Master's program of Teacher Education of Chemistry. The aim of the course is to develop student's practical skills to work with freely available programs usable in chemical education, with chemical databases freely available on the Internet and with SW suitable for drawing and visualizing molecules. The course is conducted in the form of a combination of frontal teaching and practical computer exercises in a ratio of about 1: 2.

The course takes place in person, in case of impossibility to attend the faculty or the impossibility of full-time teaching, the course will take place in the online environment ZOOM.
