Population change from the prehistory to the 19th century. Stages of the first demographic transition. Population dynamics during the interbellum period (1919-1938); impact of the Great Depression. Population developments in 1938-1945 (during the Protectorat Bohmen und Mahren). The post-war change in size and in population structures. Mortality trends after the WWII. Baby boom and baby bust in the Czech Republic. Family formation and dissolution. Eastern European demographic pattern. Gypsy (Romany) population.
