Annotation
The course provides an introduction to the types of historical demographic resources and the methods of historical demographic analysis. A special attention is given to features of demographic behaviour in the past and the family and household in the history (main types of European families and their regional distribution).
Students are encouraged to work with historical sources and to assemble "family bill" as a base product for analysis. Last but not least goal of the course is meet the students not only with possibilities but also with the limits of historical demographic research.
The explanation is based on Czech resources and results of Czech historical demography research.
