Annotation

The course is intended primarily for students of the study program of Demography after completing at least the courses of SAS Applications in Demography I, II and III. Within companies participating in the internship, students have the opportunity to see the practical use of SAS, but also to look into the functioning of individual companies, gain practical experience and above all to use their advanced knowledge of SAS programming and population issues.

The internship can take place both in blocks (i.e. within 1-2 weeks of the semester) as well as throughout the semester - it depends on the individual agreement between the student and the host institution. In any case, there should be about 40-50 hours of direct practice (+ 30-40 hours of self-preparation as needed). The course includes one introductory and one final seminar of approximately 90 minutes held at the faculty on the date announced before the beginning of the semester.
