This is a short course including 6 seminars.
The seminars will take place on Mondays in the following dates: 19 February; 4 March; 18 March; 15 April; 29 April; 13 May
The topics that will be covered are folllowing:
- Introduction to social inequalities in health
- Theoretical framework
- Social determinants of health, pathways to social inequalities in health
- Methods of measuring health inequalities
- Policy implications
All material will be available in Moodle.
The aim of this course is to introduce students in the topic of social inequalities in health. The seminars will cover theoretical framework, social determinants of health or links between various risk factors and health outcomes.
Time will also be devoted to methods of measuring health inequalities and to policy implications. International literature will be used in this course.
