Evolution of sedimentary basins on the European platform during Mesosoic and Tertiary

Paleogeografical and geotectonical evolution of Alps and Carpathians during Mesosoic and Tertiary (oceanic basins, flysh basins, Paratethys, volcanic formations)

Quaternary evolution of the middle European area

Annotation

This course provides to extend knowledge from previous general lecture "Historical and stratigraphical geology". Periods of Mesozoic and Cenozoic are widely characterized.

Their detailed stratigraphical subdivision, aspects of life, extinctions, index fossils, palaeogeography, palaeoclimatology, facial development of individual regions and other features are mentioned.
