Syllabus

Participants will be informed in detailed way about five main evolutionary degrees of embryophytes ("bryophytes", "psilophytes", "pteridophytes", "gymnosperms" and angiosperms) and their fossil representatives. The lecture should provide a modern systematical overview together with a presentation of fossil specimens.

1) Bryophytes

2) Psilophytes (Protracheophyta, Paratracheophyta , Zosterophyllophyta, Trimerophytophyta)

3) Pteridophytes (Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Polypodiophyta, Progymnospermophyta)

4) Gymnosperms (Lyginodendrophyta, Cycadophyta, Ginkgophyta, Pinophyta, Gnetophyta)

5) AngiospermsLectures and practical demonstrations will be presented together.
