Field excursion in Evironmental Geochemistry

Annotation

The aim of the excursion is to inform the participants about the effects of man on the natural environment by observing the following phenomena: lignite mining, acid leaching of uranium, environmental pollution by trace elements, forest decline, slope movements, small watershed studies, lignite weathering.

Students pay for their own meals during the excursion and contribute financially about 400 CZK for one night's accommodation. Other costs, especially transport, are covered by the Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Mineral Resources.
