Raw materials in urban areas with emphasis to materials for construction industry
Stability of construction geomaterials in urban environments: stone decay and how we protect buildings and objects of art in urban agglomerations
Geology and settlements, energy flows between a man and surrounding environment
Urban mining - from wastes to recycling and new geomaterials
Water as a resource in urban areas: purification, recycling and link to geology
This field excursion covers various aspects of geology in urban areas and focuses on applications of geology in construction of settlements and interactions between the geology and the life in an urban environments.
Interdisciplinarity will be emphasized and will cover links to civil engineering and construction activities, stone decay, mineral resources and raw materials, energy flows, management of solid and liquid wastes in cities, formation of new geomaterials, urban mining and (geo)material recycyling.
