Classifications of ore deposits

Geochemistry of magmatic and hydrothermal ore-forming processes

Ore deposits (Ni, Cu, Pt-Pd, Cr) associated with basic and ultrabasic rocks.

Granite-related ore deposits (Cu, Au, Mo porphyry deposits, skarns, Sn-W /greisens/).

Volcanogenic-hosted massive sulphide deposits. SEDEX deposits.

Epithermal deposits (Au-Ag, and Ag-Pb-Zn vein type)

Gold deposits (orogenic gold, intrusion-related gold)

Metalogeny of Variscan and Alpine Europe

Annotation

Advanced course in economic geology focused on detailed descriptive and genetic characteristics of Cr, Ni, Cu, Pt- deposits in basic and ultrabasic rocks, granite related deposits (porphyry deposits, greisens, skarns, pegmatites), volcanogenic-hosted massive sulphide deposits, sedimentary-exhalative deposits, epithermal deposits (precious metals and base metals bearing) and mesothermal Au-deposits. These general world-wide models are discussed also with respect to Central-European deposits and Variscan and Alpine metallogeny.
