Annotation
The aim of the course is to provide students with a holistic view of the interaction of human activities and the environment. The course deals with the methodology of environmental impact assessment of whole life cycles of products and services, methodology of Life Cycle Assessment - LCA.
It appears that the assessement the environmental impact of a products based solely on one stage of its manufacturing process, such as waste disposal or energy consumption, is insufficient and often misleading.
