Annotation
The lecture provides an overview of the ecology of tropical ecosystems, with an emphasis on functional and evolutionary aspects. It deals with basic general and evolutionary ecological themes in the context of tropical ecosystems and marginally with the problems of tropical biodiversity protection and methodology of ecological research in the tropics.
