Physical Geography and Geoecology

Syllabus

In the first part, the student presents theses of their dissertation (presentation of 15 minutes; the student submits a text of at least 2,500 words two weeks before the examination). The theses serve as a basis of a scientific discussion about the topic and progress of the dissertation. The topics of General and regional physical geography are cross-cutting, i.e. connecting different disciplines of physical geography. The main aim is to verify the orientation of the student in the field. The specialization exam is chosen according to the dissertation topic and it verifies the orientation in the given area.  1. Theses of the dissertation 1. Introduction – main research questions and related goals, definition of issues potentially solved by the dissertation, allocation in the wider context of physical geography 2. Existing research and literature in the area 3. Research methods used 4. Progress and preliminary results 5. Bibliography 6. Publications of the author related to the dissertation (only scientific articles)  

During the defence, the student delivers a presentation of 15 minutes. The student submits a text of at least 2,500 words at least two weeks before the examination.   2. General and regional physical geography
