1. Fyzická geografie jako součást geografie a věd o Zemi a vesmíru. Pojem a definice fyzické geografie, jejich změny v posledním století.
2. Historická a současná struktura fyzické geografie. Fyzickogeografická sféra a její struktura a složky, vztahy ke krajinné sféře.
3. Hlavní metody a zásady odborné práce ve fyzické geografii. Historické a současné metodologické trendy ve fyzické geografii.
4. Význam paleogeografie pro výzkum fyzickogeografické sféry.
5. Dynamika a intenzita fyzickogeografických procesů a jevů.
6. Geosystémy, základy teorie systémů ve vědách o Zemi a ve fyzické geografii.
7. Energeticky otevřené, komplexní a složitě organizované systémy v geografii.
8. Teorie chaosu a katastrof ve fyzické geografii a ve vědách o Zemi, přírodní ohrožení a rizika.
9. Extrémní procesy a jevy přírodního prostředí ve vztahu k fyzické geografii
10. Využití poznatků fyzické geografie v planetologii, geologii a geofyzice. Zásady výzkumné práce ve fyzické geografii v kontextu věd o Zemi a vesmíru.

Annotation
The progress of Physical geography in the framework of Earth Sciences is explained and the integrated structure of its specialisations in historical as well as modern context is emphasised. Physical-geographical aspects of the dynamics of the Earth are described in relation to the evolution of the Solar system and the universe as a whole.
Theoretical and methodological characteristics of modern research concerning with palaeogeographic history of the Earth during the Quaternary are also presented. Examples of studies aimed to the prediction and/or prognosis of global and regional changes of the environment are described.
