Annotation
The course acquaints students with basic principles of wastewater treatment. The lectures describe:
- Brief history of sewage treatment
- Sewerage
- Mechanical cleaning
- Biological cleaning
- Removal of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus)
- Sewage sludge
The course is completed with excursions to the 3 selected waste water treatment plants
