1. work safety
2. brief introduction to theory of 2DES
3. manipulation of laser beam geometry
4. generation of fs-length laser pulses
5. characterization of laser pulses
6. control of laser pulse delay with (sub)fs resolution
7. spectral calibration of detector for fs interferometry
8. generation of 2DES signal and removal of parasitic signals
9. phasing of 2DES spectra
10. analysis of 2DES spectra
Lecture is focused on practical aspects of optical spectroscopy, in particular on measurement of 2D electronic spectra. Participants should acquire knowledge and skills needed to perform 2DES experiment.
The lecture creates an opportunity to use basic optics knowledge in practice and at the same time gain insight into a non-trivial spectroscopic experiment. Participants will work with a unique apparatus for measuring 2DES spectra.
