- Data security under OS UNIX.
- Client/server architecture. Net protocol confuguration.
- User management, permissions.
- Data backup and restore. Error recovery.
- Server optimisation.
Data access using programs written in C/C++
- Embedded SQL, Pro*C preprocessor.
- Oracle Call Interface.
Annotation
The lecture will provide students with the knowledge of configuration, maintenance and optimization of Oracle Server.
Students will learn specific features of SQL Server including practical administration (configuration, backup and recovery) and programming support (optimization, debugging, performance monitoring, transaction support).
